According to Chinese astrology, all human life is divided into 12 periods. This is rather accurately divided whole life that matches symbols of main animals.
Rooster is the first stage of life (0-2 years)
The first stage of life is destined to be lived without memories. On this stage a human being is still in uncertainty and memories about other existence would just disturb him/her. A baby is a big intellectual. His/her thinking speed is very quick. Now he/she has to master the concepts of space, time, sounds and colors. And he/she solves these problems by his/her intellectual, he/she hardly moves and does not control time. Baby’s cry can be compared to rooster’s singing early in the morning.
Monkey (2-4 years)
The formation of memory starts on this stage. The fighting life stage is over. The feeling of love is being formed: love for the world, for parents and himself/herself. Everything has to be touched, known or even licked as small good monkeys do. At this time taste is formed as well. Practically this is the first real life stage of a person. He/she has to know and learn to control his/her body – not just crawl but also sit, walk, run, pull and clamber like a monkey.
Goat (4-7 years)
This is the stage of knowing the surrounding world. It is necessary not just to learn knowing the environment, but also peculiarities of the language. Like a sponge he/she absorbs words, phrases, movies and stories. On this stage he/she has to be sensitive as a goat in order to understand and memorize the huge amount of information. If you see him/her crying, do not be surprised, however, do not forget to comfort him/her, just like a small good goat.
Horse (7-12 years)
Fun is over, work has to be done. This period is the expression of will. Before that everything was done in a playful way and not seriously. Now he/she has to learn to read, write and to know friends. So trust them and do not offer your tiresome suggestions. Their will is like of a horse and they need parents just to give them conditions to develop themselves. In this period the feelings of conscience and responsibility are formed. If a mistake is made, these feelings can stop developing and remain undeveloped for the rest of their lives.
Ox (12-18 years)
A huge jump over precipice is being done. A bridge between family and school just masks it. In this period not just psychology and ideology change, but also gamma of hidden feelings. One should not give any chances to inferiority feeling or delusion of grandeur. Now the existence question is being solved in an active way. This is the preparation for life stage that requires the strength of the ox.
Rat (18-24 years)
Finally time for love has come. Unstopped and unblocked sexuality goes deep into the brains like a spring wind… it is impossible and meaningless to stop this. Unrealized love might explode with a gale of hate. But we can sympathize those who are acquainted just with erotic love. During this period of life one can fall in love with music, science, nationality, universe…and there are no limits for this. Let’s learn to love!!!
Pig (24-32 years)
Stagnation time has begun. We already have much knowledge, developed erudition, wide circle of interests, however, not much benefit. During this period many people want to be engaged in arts and traveling. Life is so beautiful and it has so many temptations. Every work can be done, but the most important chord of life has not been played yet. In order to make a long spring, it is necessary to gather momentum.
Dog (32 – 42 years)
The fun is over. This is work time. You had to measure 9 times earlier, not it is time to cut. It is time for hard work. Marriages are necessary (for someone it might me a second marriage already), birth of children, their upbringing, creation of stable background, improvement of your own work, theoretical and practical spheres. Unity of family, work and career is the basis for successful transition into snake year. These three successfully developing life axes also mitigate men crisis of 42 years.
Snake (42-56)
This is the most important stage of reevaluating spiritual values. For some it is the time of discovery of new spiritual aims, for others this is a simple spiritual crisis. What happened? We worked hard, took care of our family, children and became so lonely. All this is accompanied by unexpected fall of energy, thoughts about forthcoming senility and inevitability of death…However, at the same time this stage is self-realization stage. All big achievements are obtained on this stage of life.
Dragon (56-70 years)
Middle age crisis is in the past. Now you are a solid personality. You are often in a poetic mood and dream a lot. Bernard Shaw: “A day will come when there will be no people, but thoughts”. This age is the best for finding God.
Cat (70-86 years)
This is a playing time. And it is possible to play just with …death. A cat is the most sportive of all 12 signs. Now there is a huge ardor and wish to win. What helps a person to win? SOUL! It is not ready to leave. There are still many things to take care of. In this period one fixates the brightening of the memory, because there is a need to remember all life, people, work, words… and write recollections.
Tiger (86- ……. years)
These are the years of the biggest respect. Now there are no any longer accidental deaths or deaths by mistake. Every transition into other stage of life is dangerous and transition into TIGER years is the most dangerous. Not all succeed to cross the boundary of 85 years. These are the years of soul work. A person still lives on earth; however, his/her soul often travels to the other world. God created us similar to him; hence, on this stage of life we become similar to God and Holy Spirit.
